JAs Hire Car Service trading as The Limousine Line (ABN 28 319 304 159) | BSP-400900 | Last modified October 18th, 2026
Who we are
The Limousine Line is the trading name of JAs Hire Car Service (ABN 28 319 304 159). We are an owner-operated chauffeur and ground transport company in Sydney and hold NSW Point to Point Transport Commission Booking Service Provider authorisation BSP-400900. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean The Limousine Line.
Our commitment to privacy
The privacy and security of your personal information is a high priority for us. We are committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, State and Commonwealth privacy law, and the requirements of NSW Fair Trading legislation.
We provide personal and group chauffeured transport in Sydney and major cities in Australia, specialising in luxury transport for corporate, personal and VIP clients. This policy explains how we collect, hold, use, disclose and safeguard personal information across our website, telephone and email bookings, corporate and trade accounts, and the delivery of our services.
Information we collect
When you request a quote, make a booking, open an account or contact us, we may collect:
- Your name, email address, street address, and home, work and mobile phone numbers
- Company name and billing details (for corporate and trade accounts)
- Your booking details, such as pickup time, locations, passenger numbers and flight details where relevant
- Payment information. We receive only the last four digits and expiry date of your card (see “Payments”)
- Your preferences and any special requirements you give us for a journey
- Records of our communications with you
Our website and its hosting may automatically record technical information, such as IP addresses, pages accessed, dates and times of visits, and browser or device types, for statistical and security purposes.
Sensitive information. We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health information) unless it is needed for your journey. For example, if you tell us about a mobility or accessibility need, we use it only to arrange suitable transport and we collect it with your consent or where the law permits.
If you do not provide information. You can choose not to give us some information, but we may then be unable to confirm your booking, may be slower to assist you, or may be unable to provide the service.
How we collect your information
We collect personal information mainly directly from you — by phone, email, our online booking system, our website, or in person with your chauffeur. We may also receive it from other people who book on your behalf, such as an executive assistant, your employer’s corporate account, a travel agent or travel management company, a hotel concierge or event organiser.
If you give us someone else’s personal information (for example, when booking for a colleague or guest), please make sure they know you have done so and have seen this policy.
How we hold your information
We hold personal information electronically in our booking system and business systems. Our booking system and Driver Dispatch app are provided by Limo Solution, which stores and processes booking data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
What do we use your information for?
We use your personal information to:
- Deliver the services you have booked and process your payments
- Communicate with you about your journey, including pickup timing and changes
- Respond to your enquiries and provide customer support
- Administer your account, including corporate and trade accounts, commission and invoicing
- Handle complaints, incidents, insurance claims and disputes
- Meet our legal, tax, insurance and regulatory obligations
- Send you service notifications and — where you have opted in — occasional company news and offers. Every marketing email includes unsubscribe instructions, and you can opt out at any time. Service messages about your bookings will continue.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is necessary to deliver your service, where we are required by law, or with the service providers that help us operate — always under confidentiality obligations and limited to what each needs.
What your chauffeur can see
Before a chauffeur accepts a job, the Driver Dispatch app does not show them the full booking details. Once they accept, they see only the details needed for your journey: your name, your contact number and your travel details. Your booking history, account notes and other personal information we hold about you are not visible to chauffeurs.
Who sees your booking and itinerary
We are owner-run and do not use an external call centre. Your booking is handled by our own team, who know Sydney and answer the phone.
Within The Limousine Line, your itinerary and pickup addresses are seen in full only by our Founder and our Operations Manager. We send jobs to chauffeurs through the Limo Solution Driver Dispatch app, and your assigned chauffeur sees the full details only after accepting your job.
Outside The Limousine Line, your booking is also held by Limo Solution as our booking and dispatch provider. If someone else made or pays for your booking, such as an employer’s corporate account or a travel agent, they receive the booking and invoice details for that booking. See “Disclosure of information to third parties” below.
Itineraries and pickup addresses are part of your booking records and are kept for the period shown in “How long we keep your information”.
Chauffeur confidentiality
When accepting work from The Limousine Line, our chauffeurs, affiliates and subcontractors are bound by confidentiality terms in our job acceptance terms. They cover your journey details, anything said or seen in the vehicle, and who we carry.
Many of our clients are executives, public figures and senior government representatives. We do not disclose whom we carry, or their itineraries, to anyone other than those who need the information to arrange the journey, except where the law requires.
Disclosure of information to third parties
We do not sell or trade your personally identifiable information. We share it only with:
- The chauffeur assigned to your booking, so they can complete your journey
- Limo Solution, our booking system and Driver Dispatch app provider, which hosts our booking data on our behalf
- Stripe, our payment provider, to process your payments
- The person or organisation that made or pays for the booking, such as your employer’s corporate account, or a travel agent or travel management company, limited to booking and invoice details
- Other service providers that help us operate (such as IT and email providers), our insurers, accountants and professional advisers, under confidentiality obligations and limited to what they need
- Government, regulators and law enforcement (for example the NSW Point to Point Transport Commissioner or police) where disclosure is required or authorised by law
Payments
You enter your card details yourself — either through the secure payment link in your booking confirmation email, or in our online booking system when you create your own profile and booking. Your card details are processed by Stripe and are never seen in full by our staff: owners and employees can view only the last four digits of your card and its expiry date. Stripe is certified as a PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. Stripe’s privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
We also offer corporate accounts and accept payment against invoices by electronic funds transfer (EFT).
Security
We are committed to keeping your information secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we use physical, electronic and managerial safeguards. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information while it is being transmitted to us.
If something goes wrong: data breaches
If we become aware of unauthorised access to, or disclosure or loss of, personal information we hold that is likely to result in serious harm, we will act quickly to contain it and, where required by the Privacy Act’s Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it to provide and administer our services and to meet legal, tax, accounting and insurance requirements. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it. Our usual retention periods are:
| Type of record | How long we keep it |
| Booking and account records, including itineraries and pickup addresses | Duration of engagement + 7 years after account closure |
| Invoices and payment records | While your account is active, and 7 years after it becomes inactive |
| Enquiries that did not become a booking | 3 years |
| Marketing contact details | Until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them |
Deletion requests. You can ask us to delete your personal information by emailing bookings@limousineline.com.au. To protect you, we will first confirm your identity using your full name and the email address on your booking. We will delete or de-identify your information within 30 days, except where we must keep it for legal, tax, insurance or dispute reasons. Anything we must keep is held securely, limited to those purposes and not used for marketing. We will confirm in writing when your request is complete, or explain why we cannot complete it.
Overseas processing
Some of our service providers process personal information outside Australia. Before disclosing personal information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps in the circumstances to ensure the recipient does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles in relation to that information.
Payments. Our card payment processing is provided through Stripe. For merchants located in Australia, the Stripe entity responsible for providing services under the Stripe Services Agreement is Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd (A.C.N. 160 180 343), located in Australia. Stripe Payment Europe, Limited (Ireland) is the contracting entity for the Data Processing Agreement for merchants located outside the Americas, and Stripe Technology Company, Limited (Ireland) acts as data controller for activities other than the provision of services. Stripe advises that personal data may be transferred to, and processed in, any country where Stripe does business, including the United States. Further detail is available in Stripe’s Privacy Center (stripe.com/au/legal/privacy-center) and Privacy Policy (stripe.com/privacy).
Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date. Email bookings@limousineline.com.au. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within 30 days. If we cannot give you access or make a correction, we will tell you why in writing and explain how you can complain.
Privacy complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please email bookings@limousineline.com.au with as much detail as possible — including your booking date and the chauffeur involved, if applicable. We will acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and aim to resolve it within 30 days, telling you if we need longer. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
